painting commissions

pricing

Prices vary depending on the type of color/pattern, size of model, and work required to make it ready to paint.

Prepping

Basic prep (no breaks/rough casts) - $15+ (size/condition depending)

Prep w/ small repairs (such as fixing an ear tip break) - $case-by-case

Please note, I will not take overly rough casts or prints that are unprepped. This includes casts from Brigitte Eberl (excluding US or Bee.Casted Eberls) or Seunta. I am happy to take those on WITH professional prep already completed. I also do not take potentially hazardous 3D prints from untrustworthy businesses. Most resin 3D prints (no filament) I am happy to work on otherwise. I also do not have the skills to feel comfortable taking on models with severe damage/breaks or requiring stripping.

Paintwork

See below for paintwork prices per size category. Simple solid includes a solid color + simple white markings (such as a bay with a couple of socks and a stripe), and the price will vary for anything more complex. I am happy to give you an exact quote with reference images or detailed descriptions. Right now I do not feel comfortable doing fantasy colors. I prefer to work with a bit of wiggle room for artistic license, but I will do my best to make your vision come to life in my own style.

commission process & policies

While I will do my utmost best to provide you with a horse painted to your satisfaction, I cannot guarantee perfection. I prep and paint horses with quality materials and strive for as close to perfection as I can get but I cannot with absolute certainty guarantee perfectly smooth and flawless work.

The process will work as follows: you submit your commission request, I review the request and return to you with a quote or further questions to iron out your exact desires. As soon as everything is agreed upon, I will give you shipping information on getting your model to me. IMPORTANT: I am located in the Netherlands, all shipping costs are your responsibility, so please keep that in mind if you are outside of the EU.

Once I have received the model, I will confirm with you that I have it and at that point request a 20% down payment to start. As soon as that is paid, I will begin work on the model and will do my best to keep you updated. I do not have an exact time frame for completion of models but I will generally contact once prep is done, once a base coat is down (to make sure you are happy with the color), and then once near completion for final approval before sealing.

Final payment + return shipping will be requested upon completion of the model. I am happy to work out time payments, if needed, at the beginning of a commission so that you may pay it off while the model is in progress. This MUST be discussed at the start, not at the end.
